East Harling, Norfolk
Holly Tree Cottage Retreats

Holly Tree Cottage is our own home and we extend a warm welcome to people looking for a quiet space to reconnect with themselves and God, and find rest and peace.

Restful Accommodation
Our traditional Norfolk cottage is in the middle of the village but is a surprisingly peaceful space. There is a small sitting room with a woodburner you are welcome to use, with a large selection of books on spirituality. We have 1 double room and 1 single room available for guests. We don't have any pets.
We provide shared bathroom facilities along  with your own small, private shower room.
A Space for Creativity
Our garden-facing studio, bathed in natural light, is a haven for creativity. Whether you wish to write, paint, pray, or simply find peace, the studio is yours to use. Outside the studio is a small secluded garden with table and chairs.
Home-Cooked Meals
& Organic Garden
We find joy in cooking and are more than happy to share our meals with you. In season, our meals often feature fresh produce straight from our organic garden. Alternatively, if you prefer to prepare your own meals, self-catering can be arranged. Choose to share your meals with us, or on your own in the studio, or out in the garden.

East Harling - a welcoming Norfolk village

East Harling is a tranquil, sizable village that houses a Grade 1 listed church, a Co-op, a chemist, a fish and chip shop, and charming  pubs — all within a comfortable walking distance.

Just nearby is Thetford Forest and Knettishall Heath, both offering numerous walking trails. Should you wish to cycle, a bike is available for you to borrow.
We offer private retreats for 1 or 2 people. Your retreat space will be ready for you from 3pm and ask that you leave by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. We are happy to collect guests from Thetford or Diss station for a contribution to petrol expenses. A full board 24 hour stay is £60, self-catering £40. There is no charge for the first hour of spiritual accompaniment.
